Information PDF-dactyl processes
The app may process PDFs you import, search terms you enter, OCR results derived from pages, draft redaction data, imported-redaction audit results, locally exposed extractable text from improperly redacted PDFs, exported audit reports, local file hashes, and saved profiles or settings.
Where processing happens
Import, OCR, redaction search, manual editing, hashing, validation, and report generation happen on-device.
What the app sends to a server
Nothing for normal app functionality. The app has no account system, no analytics SDK, no ad network, and no cloud processing dependency.
Local storage
The app stores draft projects, copied source PDFs, OCR caches, settings, profiles, verification history, and exports inside the local app sandbox unless you explicitly share or move files elsewhere.
Sharing
Files leave the app only when you explicitly export, share, or save them using Apple system features.
Password-protected PDFs
If a PDF cannot be opened without a password, the app reports that limitation instead of attempting hidden upload or remote unlocking.
Website note
This website package contains no analytics scripts. If you later host it on infrastructure such as Cloudflare, ordinary web requests may create infrastructure logs at the hosting layer. That does not change the app’s on-device processing model.
